On Sun, Oct 15 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, the Hagen Ranch Road Branch Library will host a community fair with flair for teens featuring several community organizations.
This event, TAB Presents Zombie Survival Camp: A TeenTober Celebration, is being presented for the third year in a row. The two-hour event will offer community service hours for teens and challenging activities as well as information about different volunteer opportunities.
The community organizations involved include Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition, Florida Department of Transportation District Safety Office District Four, Mothers Against Drunk Driving West Central Florida Region, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Palm Beach County UF/IFAS Extension (4-H), Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation, Palm Beach County Substance Awareness Coalition and Palm Beach County Youth Services Department.
“We are excited about this event and how it focuses on community building in a fun way. We have a diverse group of community organizations working with us to bring this special event to our teens,” said Shari Feingold, Head of Children and Teens at the Hagen Ranch Road Branch.
This event celebrates TeenTober a nationwide celebration hosted by libraries every October as designated by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). The aim of this month is to celebrate teens and promote year-round teen services.
