The Palm Beach County Library System is thrilled to announce a diverse lineup of events and activities to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month this year. Beginning September 9th, we invite the community to join us in recognizing and celebrating the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to honor the histories, cultures and achievements of Hispanic and Latino individuals and communities. At the Palm Beach County Library System, we are committed to promoting cultural diversity and inclusivity, and our Hispanic Heritage Month activities reflect this dedication.
Here is a glimpse of what you can expect during this special month:
- Kick-Off Event: Join us at the Hagen Ranch Road Branch on September 9th at 2:30 pm as we start Hispanic Heritage Month with an exciting kick-off event. Enjoy music and folkloric dance performances while discovering the beauty of Mexico’s pre-Hispanic traditions. Presented by Ameyal Mexican Cultural Organization of Miami.
- Film Screenings: Enjoy thought-provoking and entertaining films that highlight Hispanic and Latino culture, history and contemporary issues.
- Children's Activities: Families are invited to bring their children to participate in special storytimes, craft workshops and interactive activities that introduce kids to the rich heritage of Hispanic and Latino cultures.
All events are free and open to the public, with something for everyone to enjoy. We encourage everyone in Palm Beach County to join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and gain a deeper appreciation of the contributions and traditions of Hispanic and Latino cultures.
