TeenTober is a nationwide initiative celebrating teens and Library teen services. Palm Beach County Library System is marking the occasion with 20 teen volunteer opportunities this month which is a 50% increase from last year! There are a variety of events being offered including book discussions, Teen Advisory Board meetings, and Teen Thursday activities. Adding to the fun, Hagen Ranch Road Branch is offering two teen volunteer opportunities with a zombie twist:

The scavenger hunt starts Sunday, October 8, and ends Sunday, October 22.
Whether it is zombies or adulthood, it pays to be prepared! Register for this interactive experience to receive the game code to unlock this scavenger hunt on the Goosechase app. Download the free Goosechase app to participate. Follow the rules, complete missions, and score points in order to earn one hour of community service. Registration opens Saturday, Oct 7 at 12:00 a.m.

Whether it is zombies or adulthood, it pays to be prepared! Back for a third year, come if you dare to this two-hour community fair with flair. There will be challenging activities as well as information about different volunteer opportunities. Community service hours available. Ages 12-17. Sponsored by Friends of the Library. Registration opens Sunday, Oct 1 at 12:00 a.m.
The community organizations involved include the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition, Florida Department of Transportation, District Safety Office, District Four, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, West Central Florida Region, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Palm Beach County Behavioral Health Coalition (PBCBHC), PalmBeach County UF/IFAS Extension (4-H), Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation, and Palm Beach County Youth Services Department.
