Jayme Bosio is the Government Research Service Librarian for the Palm Beach County Library System. She earned her Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida and started as a Reference Librarian in 2009 at the Hagen Ranch Road Branch. Jayme’s passion and dedication to research inspired her to pursue her current position which she started in 2014. In 2015, the Embedded Librarian program (now known as the Community Research Service Program) was created in order to improve engagement with local government entities. Jayme became part of a team of librarians who provide research to county departments to answer questions such as, “What incentives do other cities/states provide to attract the film industry to their area?” and “How can we encourage users to maintain the upkeep of our bus shelters?” The Embedded Librarian Program won the Top Innovator award from the Urban Libraries Council.
Jayme is always ready to help you with your research needs, whether you are looking for your grandmother’s obituary, or you need help understanding the workings of your county government. She can be contacted at grs@pbclibrary.org or 561-233-2777
