    DESCRIPTION: Plans, provides and supervises the delivery of library services to children, young adults, parents and caregivers. Supervises one professional and two paraprofessional employees; prepares and presents children's story times/other programs for children and teens; provides collection development, reference, readers' advisory services and outreach to local schools and the community; participates in long-range planning and committee work; oversees the Summer Reading Program and the building with regard to the health/safety of staff and patrons as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association; minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience.

    OTHER: Ability to lift 30 pounds preferred. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.

    PREFERENCE OF EXPERIENCE: Supervising the work of others; in public library reference/collection development; working with children/teens/parents/caregivers; planning programs for children/teens; overseeing a library reading program.
