Book Deposit Collection

Nursing homes, adult life and long-term care facilities, and retirement centers can receive large print books for their residents. Books-By-Mail staff will work with activity staff to select a collection of books with a variety of appropriate titles for the reading interests of the residents. The location keeps the materials for up to 90 days and then exchanges them for a new collection.

Bi-Folkal Kits

Older people have an opportunity to share their experiences with others using our Bi-Folkal Kits. These activity kits stimulate memory and encourage the sharing of ideas using a historical time period or topic. Senior centers, nursing homes, retirement homes, and other agencies and organizations who work with older adults, and are in the Palm Beach County Library District or the Library Cooperative of Palm Beach County, can borrow the kits.

Each Kit contains a media presentation, music, poetry, humor, and hands-on props. Pieces of the Kit can be used individually or together.
