Summer was busy at Royal Palm
Beach. In addition to our regular story times, poetry and
writing workshops for children and young adults we offered a
variety of special programs.
WPTV Channel 5 meteorologist Rob
Lopicola talk to adults about hurricane preparation. The
adorable miniature horses enchanted children of all ages with
their jumping and prancing in our side yard. The Tale Twisters
told stories while transforming balloons into octopus, dogs and
cats. Teenagers played board games, learned make-up trips and
watched afternoon movies. And our volunteens enjoyed a pizza
party given in recognition for the many hours they spent signing
up children and teens for our Summer 2003 reading program.
So, remember to check this web
site, the Happenings newsletter or stop by, because even though
summer is over, there's always something going on at the Royal
Palm Beach branch. |
