Mindy Rose from the Palm Beach County Library System Recognized for Earning National Consumer Health Information Specialization Certificate

The Palm Beach County Library System is pleased to announce that Librarian Mindy Rose has been nationally recognized by the Medical Library Association (MLA) for earning the Level 2 Consumer Health Information Specialization (CHIS) certificate.

Earning a CHIS certificate shows Mindy’s commitment to offering quality consumer health information services and to staying current with developments in consumer health information resources, technologies and services. The Level 2 certificate demonstrates skills in all competencies.

The CHIS was created in 2001 with the support of the National Library of Medicine and is conducted in partnership with the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. Mindy joins more than 1,300 medical, public and consumer health librarians, and allied health and information professionals who have earned the CHIS certificate, including Greenacres Branch Librarian Xiomara del Valle, who maintains a Level 1 certification.

The Palm Beach County Library System is proud to have Mindy supporting the needs of consumers for accurate and relevant health information.
