Directions to the Greenacres Branch

By Bus:
Route 60 – Greenacres to Palm Springs via Purdy and 10th Ave. North
Route 62 – Wellington to Lake Worth via Lake Worth Road (corner of Lake Worth Rd. & Jog Rd. stop)
Route 64 – Greenacres to Lake Worth via Melaleuca /6th Ave. South (Greenacres Plaza stop)

From I-95: Take I-95 to 10th Avenue North (Exit 64); head west to Jog Road; turn left onto Jog Road (heading south) to Dodd Road (7/8 of a mile south of 10th Avenue); turn left onto Dodd Road and the Library will be on the right.

From Florida’s Turnpike: Take the Florida Turnpike to Lake Worth Road (Exit 93); head east to Jog Road, turn left onto Jog Road (heading north) to Dodd Road (1/8 of a mile north of Lake Worth Road); turn right onto Dodd Road and the Library will be on the right.

About the Greenacres Branch

The Greenacres Branch serves a diverse community in the central part of the County. The library offers information in print and electronic form and schedules monthly educational programs for children and adults. The library circulates a large amount of popular adult fiction, nonfiction and children's materials.

A wide variety of electronic resources, such as magazine articles, newspaper databases, and Internet access, are available to the public. The knowledgeable staff is available to answer quick reference questions and assist with in-depth research. The library has an active children's department that offers programs to children of all ages.

History of the Branch

Opened as Mid-County Branch June 1975, leased 1,600 sq. ft.

Expanded: February 1983, leased 5,494 sq. ft., Greenacres City joined the Library District. The branch name was changed to Greenacres Branch.

Opened new library: June 1992 with 17,000 sq. ft.

Renovated December 2010.
