Royal Palm Beach Branch (Royal Palm Beach)

The Royal Palm Beach Branch Bookmobile will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25 to prepare for the reopening of the branch.

The Grand Reopening Ribbon Cutting will be on
Saturday, December 12, 10:00 a.m.

The bookmobile is now stationed on the west side of the County Government Center next to the Royal Palm Beach Branch. The bookmobile hours are:

Monday - Thursday: 10 am - 6 pm
Friday - Saturday: 10 am - 5 pm

By Car: North or south on I-95, take Okeechobee Boulevard (Exit 70), go west to Royal Palm Beach Boulevard, turn left and in a short distance turn right on Civic Center Way. Follow Civic Center around and Library will be on your right.

Description

Royal Palm Beach Branch is an active community library that offers its residents a variety of services. Patrons interested in bestsellers and popular fiction titles have many to choose from. For the serious fiction readers the library has Novelist, an online database designed to assist fiction readers find other books they will enjoy.

For those interested in investment and health information the reference department offers an array of sources.

Interested in surfing the Internet? The library has full Internet access. The service is free to the community and the staff is trained to assist patrons.

Royal Palm Beach Branch has an active children's department that offers programs to children of all ages. In the summer months, they conduct a fabulous reading program for kids and have a vibrant Volunteen program.

History of the Branch

  • Opened: July 1982. Service began from a 1,000 sq.ft. trailer.
  • Expanded: July 1985 to a 9,620 sq.ft. leased building from the Village of Royal Palm Beach.
  • Opened new library: November 1994 to an 8,000 sq. ft. County owned building (to expand to 16,000 sq.ft.)

Meeting Room Information

A meeting room is available for groups up to 25.  Library sponsored functions have priority in the use of this room.  It may be booked only for times when the library is open to the public.
