Welcome to the August issue of Books & Bytes!

There is always a lot going on at the Library, so be sure to visit our website, Facebook page, and Twitter page often to keep up-to-date!

Did you know we have 15 other email newsletters? They are packed with suggested books, DVDs, events, and more. You can sign up, or read the most recent issues of each, by clicking on the titles on this page.

Going Green is Easy

Go GreenGo GreenThroughout the month of August, the Library is going green. Switch your notices from paper or phone to email for the fastest notification. We'll remind you a few days before your items are due and let you know when your Library card is about to expire!

In addition, the Library will be saving on staff time and postage. We’ll be using less paper, ink, and energy, too.

By making the switch to email, you’ll be entered in a raffle for one of six Go Green gift bags. The bags include: a Sony e-reader from Overdrive; tickets to the Palm Beach Zoo; a gift card and stainless steel water bottle from Whole Foods Market, Boca Raton; a poster from Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management; a crossword or Sudoku from St. Martin’s Griffin; and a 20 oz. reusable acrylic cup and straw from the Friends of the Library. The raffle is open to anyone who has email notification or who switches to email by 5:00 pm on August 31.

If you don’t already have email notification it is easy to sign up. Click here to Go Green. All you need is your PIN and Library Card number. If you don’t know your PIN call or visit the Information Desk at your branch and they’ll help you make the switch.
