Coinciding with the festivities surrounding Columbus Day, every year the U.S. president signs a proclamation in recognition of the many achievements, contributions and successes of the Americans of Italian descent, as well as Italians in America. They have been essential to this country from its beginning, not only as explorers but also in the arts, literature, government and business. Join the celebration and enjoy various events throughout the library system.
